Kelly C. Tobin

Kelly C. Tobin is a principal member of Kelly C. Tobin, P.C. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law and is an alumni of the University of Missouri - Kansas City.

He has experience in representing clients in various disputes including banking, construction, contract litigation, insurance, real estate, employment, discrimination, civil rights, bankruptcy, debtor-creditor, taxation, fraud, libel and slander and personal injury. Kelly has a variety of experience in and has represented clients in front of tax increment financing commissions, city departments, state and federal agencies. He is admitted as a member to practice and argue cases in the state trial and appellate courts of Missouri and Kansas, the United States District Court - Western District of Missouri, the United States District Court - District of Kansas, the United States Court of Appeals - Eighth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.   • John Schaller v. Industrial Properties, LLC., District Court of Shawnee County, Kansas; Case No. 09C1848; Contractor Payment Dispute; Jury Verdict for $13,000.00. Court ordered additional $40,006.64 in attorney fees and costs for a total judgment of $53,006.64.

  • Mission Bank v. James Hoyt, et al.; District Court of Johnson County, Kansas; Case No. 11CV02414; Debt case; Judge Tried; Judgment for Mission Bank of $341,936.66.

In addition to litigation, Kelly represents small and medium sized business in their corporate creation and governance and has worked in the field of venture capital. He has experience in loan negotiation, enforcement and defense and is personally responsible for or has assisted in the creation of numerous business and non-profit charitable entities.
